How would you describe yourself in less than 100 words?
=> I am an ambitious individual who loves connecting with people. I am always open to land a helping hand when I can. I am soft hearted and a go getter. I am resilient and always try to look for a positive side in whatever shortcomings I might face.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years?
=> I see myself as a qualified Counselling Psychologist and helping out the community. I also envision myself studying towards an MBA. I wish to be able to be an active participant in outreach and empowerment programs hope to be an influential figure and use my influence to bring about awareness on issues such as Education, GBV and poverty.
Are you involved in any extra-curricular activities/side hustles? if so, can you tell us about them.
=> I was involved in one of the campus as a volunteer peer helper (NWU SALT) the purpose of being a peer helper was to help other students to get access to counselling, we shared awareness on sexual health and ran campaigns.
I was also a volunteer tutor for Ikamva youth. Ikamva youth is an organization that helps high school learners study, prepare for exams and receive help and preparation for the application of varsity, bursaries and sponsorships.
What has been your proudest achievement to date? *
=> Being able to serve on both organizations where I was a volunteer.
If you could change one thing in South Africa and make it better, what would it be?
=> There are quite a few things I'd want to change but the one thing I would change is the access to education. Education is one of the most empowering things to obtain and everyone deserves to be a part of it. I would seek for companies to help pay towards fees which would subsidize fees of those who cannot afford but don't qualify for other forms of funding.
